An official from India! I almost couldn't believe it when I opened my mailbox today. I very much love tigers (and all big cats), and the stamps are awesome as well. Thank you very much Charles!

United States
A rare thing these days (not due to people but the fact I now have most of the U.S. states): a map card!

China
Beautiful postcard from China, sent from Beijing but showing the sunrise over Mount Lushan (if I'm not mistaken, "shan" can mean "mountain" in Chinese), and awesome stamps (the airport one is my favorite). Xie xie (thank you!)
France
A card with a beautiful stamp commemorating the 400th anniversary of the birth of Jeanne d'Arc. Received from the French tag on the Postcrossing forum.

Great British Railways (BR Class 9F)
Reproduced from a stamp designed by Delaney Design Consultants, featuring a photography of the Evening Star at Midsomer Norton, 1962 by Ivo Peters, copyright Julian Peters. Issued by Royal Mail on 19 August 2010.
A railroad employee from London sent me this beautiful card. I also love the London 2012 badminton stamp.
Belgium
Theo sent me this beautiful map of his country (we both like the pictures of monuments). The stamp shows Chimay, one of Belgium's 7 Trappist beers. Thank you very much!

Belarus
Alexandr from Belarus sent me this postcard of the chapel-tomb of the Paskevich family in his hometown Homel.
Iceland
Sigga from Iceland sent me a real gem: her country’s national flag. Iceland is considered a rare country on Postcrossing (her card has the ID number 14413) so I was even more excited to receive it. It's also one of the countries I'd like to travel to (it may sound funny, but I think I'd actually enjoy the climate). Thank you very much!

Yosemite National Park
Considered the oldest and largest tree in the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, the Grizzly Giant is one of the symbols for which Yosemite’s sequoia groves are best known. Located in the Lower Grove, the Grizzly Giant is 2,700 years old. The tree stands 200 feet tall and its base is 31 feet across. Its first visible lower branch is 6 feet in diameter. Mere statistics cannot capture the greatness and beauty of this ancient sequoia.
Brazil
Passa Quatro, MG, Brasil- Circuito turistico Terras Altas da Mantiqueira
Luis writes: Passa Quatro is a small and historical city founded in 1760 due to the gold mining in this mountainous region of Minas Gerais province. The old railway travels along 110 km of mountains, tunnels and forests with beautiful scenario. The old locomotive called Maria Fumaça (Mary Smoke) still operates a touristic 45 km line running across valleys and extinct gold mines.
The card description says: Maria Fumaça of the Train of the Mantiqueira that makes the passage between Passa Quatro and the Mantiqueira tunnel. Operates Sat, Sun, and holidays.

Secondhand cards: Japan
Stamped August 8, 1975 , showing the Nijyubashi (Double Bridge ), symbolic entrance to the Emperor’s castle, and, according to the postcard’s description, an indispensable visiting point for every Japanese.
Secondhand postcards: Italy
Caorle stamped June 21, 1965. I was there on summer vacation with my parents and grandparents in 1989 and couldn’t believe my eyes when I came upon this postcard. I mostly remember the beach, the sour cherry ice cream (Even at the tender age of nearly 6, this was my favorite flavor) and the smell of salami in the grocery store.
St Peter’s square, Rome: stamped May 25, 1974. I was there as well, in April 1999, and loved it… all except the youth hostel where we were staying. My favorite was the Colosseum.
