The Duquesne Incline

Built in 1877, Pittsburgh’s Duquesne Incline is one of the few remaining operating inclines in the USA. The upper station features an observation deck 400 feet above the city.

It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited residential streets in the country, dating back to the early 1700s. The alley, a National Historic Landmark, is located off Second Street between Arch and Race Streets in Philadelphia’s Old City Neighborhood
